Hi there,

Note: The sweepstakes promotion below has already been concluded / is no more available.

Happy Independence Day to everyone from the US! But wherever in the world you are from, we have some newsletter sweepstakes for you! While our in-game sweepstakes are still running until Sunday, we decided to give the opportunity to win an additional bottle of great red wine to all newsletter subscribers!

Everyone who is subscribed to the newsletter at 23:59 UTC on July 27, 2014, will automatically be entered into the draw. If you already participated in the in-game sweepstakes, no worries, you can still participate in this one in addition.

Newsletter Sweepstakes Announcement

There are lots of legal restrictions for sweepstakes, so sorry for some of the less interesting things that we had to include below:

Price

We were filming a bit earlier some scenes at the Dominique Portet winery in Yarra Valley / Australia. They are making great wine over there, and we decided that we should offer a bottle for our newsletter subscribers! The winner will be able to select between three different red wines: a Shiraz, a Pinot Noir, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. For people who have access to the beta, the owner himself, Dominique Portet, is giving lots of information in the game on the different wines and the winery itself, and for everyone else, well... you can follow the links above for some more information. And while the Shiraz already got a review of 96 Points from James Halliday / Wine Companion, that doesn't mean the other two are any worse!

We take over the shipping fees, but the winner is responsible for any taxes that might be applicable in his/her jurisdiction. We don't want to talk about the monetary value for this gift, and it's somehow stupid, but legislation unluckily requires it. So here we go: The retail price for one of the bottles is about USD 45, and the price of the additional shipping fee depends on the location of the customer.

Prices are not transferable. We may alter the price if necessary, e.g., if one of the wines is no more available.

Eligibility

No purchase is necessary for participation.

You need to be subscribed to the newsletter when we collect the subscriber list for the draw at 23:59 UTC on July 27, 2014. The subscription of multiple e-mail addresses for the same person is not allowed. The sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law, and we do not ship prices to Singapore. Employees and business partners of Kingdom Crafting Pte. Ltd. are not eligible to participate. You need to be over the legal age to consume/buy (whichever is higher) alcohol in your jurisdiction, and in case you win, need to provide us with a proof of your age.

Odds

Every subscribed e-mail address has the same chance of winning, and the odds of winning are dependent on the number of newsletter subscribers.

Notification

The winner will be selected by a random draw on August 1. The winner will be notified over the following weekend. The details of the winner will obviously not be posted because of privacy concerns. To contact the winner, we will use the e-mail address subscribed to the newsletter. If the selected winner cannot be contacted or a winner's eligibility is not established within 15 days from the time the award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Miscellaneous

If there is evidence of hacking, security breaches, or other tampering, the sweepstakes may be discontinued. We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the sweepstakes, if necessary, due to any technical problem.

That's it for this time - we'll have a newsletter on music next time!

Have a great weekend,
Alex
